Aqua Velva

Ice blue color with unquestionably the best substance and form of all others with similar colorings. Deeper texture veins; style arms strong green in center.  Bloom has a fine wide form, light ruffles and a superb substance. Standards are slightly darker than the falls. As one would suspect of Beale Street derivatives, plant habits and branching are also superb.  Aqua Velva is one of the first Louisiana Iris to bloom and a welcome beginning to the parade of flowers to follow.
